Hoping to help the children adapt and make friends, Heidi decides to hold a series of cooking classes for kids. But kids are always accompanied by an adult—and that is where the trouble arises. Miranda Cooper is living the life of a single mom to her two kids while separated from her husband, but Trent is trying to worm his way back into her heart. Denise McGuire’s life as a wife, mom, and real estate broker is full and spilling over. Darren Keller, single dad and firefighter, and Ellen Blackburn, single mom and nurse, find a few things in common. Will hearts be healed over plates of Amish food?
This is the third book in The Amish Cooking Class series. Book #1: The Amish Cooking Class - The Seekers Book #2: The Amish Cooking Class - The Blessing
okay so my very first reaction to this book was yay!!! We get to see what happens with Heidi and lyle next, and the kiddos! but then I started the book……
First things first wow!!! The amount of people and povs is almost ridiculous!! the only way to keep everyone straight would be to get a notebook and pause every little bit to take notes!! I had to actually sit down and count how many povs there was, give or take there is at least 7 povs!! I’m sure I missed counting a couple.
And I thought one of the first books I read by Wanda had a lot!!
The hardest part though is keeping track of who likes who, and who’s kid is whose.
I heard other reviews about this one and I think I’m kinda in the middle with how I feel about it. The story itself is ok and I really read it cause I needed to know how things were going with Heidi Lyle and the kids. I liked meeting most of the characters we were introduced to this time. I did feel that some were so whiny at times though.
I had a really hard time rating this one though cause I felt it was good just excessive on the povs.
